Arthur Sullivan/W.S. Gilbert short biography

The name of Sir Arthur Sullivan is always used together with the name of W.S. Gilbert. The two great musicians and writers created a great number of operettas that have been extremely popular in England and elsewhere. Their compositions like HMS Pinafore, The Pirates of Penzance, Patience, Iolanthe, The Mikado, Ruddigore and The Yeomen of the Guard, are a rare combination of the music talent of Sullivan and verbal gifts of Gilbert.
